There's nothing special about the Model 60 part, apart from the stickers which would identify it as a 6152 rather than an 8560.

Please invest some energy into saving the ESDI drives. If the AOS install is already present on them, there are some bits that are still lost (i.e. the original X11R3 binaries, which were built from source with unreleased patches from IBM, and a couple files for the OS/2 version of the host app) that it would be nice to see if they might be recovered from your system. Let me know if you need help with that.
That would be great if you could send me the reference disk. I did pull the drives and esdi controller, and I'll be dropping the parts off with someone I know who has a model 60 and is much more familiar with risc hardware than I am so he can hopefully make sure everything works and archive the files on the hard drives

Thank God, it looks to support SCSI.

240Mb of fixed disk storage can be provided on the RT PC
models above with their 70Mb hard disk and 200Mb IBM 9332 Direct
Access Storage Device(s) attached via a SCSI Adapter (#7000). See
IBM Product Announcement 186-174, dated September 18, 1986.

A model 80 helps as the 286 cpu becomes a bottleneck.

OK, herculean efforts by Pete Backhouse overnight and his site is back as:

    http://ps2.purpletartan.com

There should be a subdirectory called ../old-ftp/ thereunder.

WBST was able to contact Pete. Did someone have a copy of the refdisk? Though it probably is an 8560 with the Crossbow ADF, who knows? I'd very much like a copy to hang on the web...

I managed to score an IBM Academic System front panel on ebay for pretty cheap, now all I need to build it up is a model 60 or 80 to put the card amd original drives in
