    Default Rt-11 sysgen

In the sysgen manual it says "Then rename the SYG files (monitors and handlers) to SYS. You can also rename the monitor to distinguish it from standard monitors." I know how to rename a single .SYG file, but how can you rename all .SYG to .SYS? The following does not work

    Code:
    .ren /sys du:*.syg *.sys
    ?PIP-F-Invalid rename DU:DWX.SYG

    .
what is the trick to rename all with a single command?

If you don't specify device RT11 assumes DK:, which in your case is probably not the same device as SY: This causes RT11 to think you are rename a file between two different devices.

    instead try
    REN/SYS DU:*.SYG DU:*.SYS

The following was working for me

    Code:
    COPY/SYS .SYG .SYS
    without asterisks.
