Thread: VT52 vs VT100: differences?

    I took some time to test a few programs to see what worked on a VT52 and what did not. Most things worked adequately (although mg and tetris were a little odd looking without reverse video) but two games had issues: atc was pretty much unplayable because of the constant screen repainting, and larn wouldn't run at all because it requires an 80x25 terminal and a VT52 only has 24 lines.

    Huh. Well, in that case a VT100 won't work either...

    But yes, there are also some things a VT100 can do, which a VT52 can't which forces more repaints as well. Such as scroll region.
