    You should verify if the chips are the correct type and if you have TAG RAM installed. Cache won't work without TAG chips, usually there's at least one, sometimes two.

    Solved. I replaced all the cache chips and now cachechk see L2 cache. Probably one of the chips where bad but I only had 20ns space so I replaced the 15ns with 20ns. The motherboard notes 20ns or less so all working great. Now my 486 is rocking..

    20ns SRAM is good up to 50 MHz, so you can run basically any CPU available on the 486 platform without problems, even the DX 50, assuming everything can tolerate the 50 MHz bus.
