    Default Apple IIgs PSU rocker switch

    Anyone know where I can source the on/off rocker switch for the Apple IIgs power supply? One of mine fell to pieces. Its a bit shorter than the ones for the II, II+, and IIe as well as having 4 posts instead of just 2.

    I was replacing some old caps and was going to paint the psu case due to corrosion when the switch fell to pieces.20200428_105938_resized.jpg

    I haven't needed to replace it on mine. Do you mean there are four terminals on the switch? I don't have access to the schematics of the power supply, but it sounds like it could be a double pole single throw (DPST) switch type. Does both sides of the AC line get fed through the switch? Any switch of that style with the proper voltage and amperage rating that fits would work.

    Hello Verault;

    I rebuilt my Apple IIgs power supply a while back and the manufacturer name on my switch was "MARQUARDT 1852.1128" printed on the
    rocker switch...
    "https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Marquardt-Switches/18521128?qs=%2Fha2pyFadugHlANvsni4Cdr4qw7cm2tYquhf eIp14L4%3D"

    I ended up buying some APEM rocker switches that seemed to work fine...
    "https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Apem/MR210C2NBB?qs=%2Fha2pyFaduithvVRtM2yRJzG%2F6d0sMDO 05bBWuF%252B10A%3D"

    The Apple IIgs supplies should be similar but Measure the opening in your power supply case and compare it to the PDF Data
    Sheets to see if these switches work for you as Apple sourced different suppliers over the years.

    yes both sudes of the ac go through the switch. Both sides come out the other posts of the switch and are soldered to the board.

    Charles those switches are perfect! They were a pop in fit for the IIgs psu (and I looked at some other IIe psu's that use the same board; fits them too) I bought 4 and they came quick! So if anyone needs this style rocker switch for a IIe or IIgs check out mouser.
