Thread: Glass grid mouse pad for 80s optical mouse

Default Glass grid mouse pad for 80s optical mouse

I have an old Mouse Systems mouse (M2) and would like to find an appropriate mouse pad for it. Iíve experimented with the Al foil + transparency solution and it works but is not so great. Hoping for the real thing.

That wasn't glass; it was etched steel. I had one a long time ago. Wish I had one now, for nostalgia. Have you tried eBay? They show up sometimes.

    Good luck on your search!

Back in the day Weirdstuff used to have those pads lying randomly on the floor. Unfortunately they were *always* folded, spindled, and mutilated. Someone must have been doing it on purpose.

Ah, it's been a long time since I saw one... they looked like glass from a distance

I've been keeping an eye on eBay; I've seen a couple pop up but sense that these were used with mice associated with Amigas hence a surprising price tag. I'd be happy with something that has zero Amiga association so I can see how this mouse worked.

Do you need a metal one or would a flexpad work? I'm in Campbell. I think I have a couple NOS MSC flexpads still. These were for MSC mice that came out 86 or later. How about $25 shipped/mailed?
