Thread: disk test utility for CP/M 80?

  1. #1

Default disk test utility for CP/M 80?

    Hi everyone,
Wondering if there is a CP/M program that tests disks?
Ideally, something that is configurable for # of tracks, # of sectors, and sector size.
    Any suggestions?
    thanks!

Disk Utility (DU-87.COM, .ASm, .DOC) for CP/M does, but it automatically configures itself from the
Information found on the inserted Floppy. You could likely modify the .ASM for your specific needs.

A competing disk utility can be found at http://www.cpm.z80.de/binary.html#utilities

DU is a good program thanks.

I was also hoping to find a speed tester or benchmarking program for disks. It may be a long shot since to measure speed you need time, and that might not be a common CP/M function. But, is there a speed testing utility that anyone knows of?

    thanks
