    Both units work. I doubt the router motor is beefy enough, but the sander would probably do the trick.

    15k rpm? I didn't look to see if there was gear reduction. That sound very high.

    Depends on the motor, but there's a reason why vacuum cleaners and dremels use series-wound "universal" motors.

    Gear reduction!!!??? I meant a step down pulley arrangement. What a moron And that isn't even proper terminology I don't think. Carry on!
