    Default IBM Series/1 for sale

Hello, help my friend to sell his IBM Series/1. This includes IBM Processor, 4962 and 4963 disk drives, 4973 and 4974 printers, etc. Make offers if interested.

This is pickup only near Lincoln, NE.

    Thanks!

Let's be realistic - nobody can make a reasonable informed offer based on the provided information.

Do you have pictures? What exactly is included and in what condition?

I think the Series/1 is a very niche machine. I think you might find some one to haul it away free, but I think "sell" is being aspirational. Seeing as its not "mainstream" you probably need to mention it as widely as possible. I suggest the cctech mail list

    http://www.classiccmp.org/cctech.html

the mainframe face book group (some one has posted it on there)

    and perhaps

probably also need to list any floppys and software. S/1 software is a bit rare...
    ... best of luck...

I'm interested in learning more about this system. Pictures and more details would help.

    Hi Al,

Maybe he meant he wanted to learn about that specific system and what condition it is in?

Please give people the benefit of the doubt.

While we are handing out advice, try not pre-emptively snarking on people who didn't do anything to provoke it.
