We need suggestions, from you, on user titles

Currently this forum has only three user titles:

Junior Member - 0 through 29 posts
Member - 30 through 99
Senior Member - 100+

To me these feel like generic out of the box titles, and I would like to change and expand them, but I am not sure what to use. So I figured I would poll all of you and see what kind of suggestions come of this.

Please respond to this announcement with your suggestion, and post counts to reach them. I will tall them all up and use what are suggested to create a poll for everyone to vote on.

I disagree, we are a community of people with similar interests, so democratizing this kind of thing is very important as it helps us not forget this. Yes these titles are of little actual consequence, but perhaps they can add a little bit more community here.

That said, if no one really has any input on this and/or cares about it, then I probably won't bother to make the change.
 
I like the idea of custom titles instead of just the defaults. I’m not sure what they should be, but perhaps if you hit a certain threshold, time or posts or something, is there an option to create your own? I always got a chuckle out of Brutman’s associate cat herder or whatever it was. I’d be curious to see what other come up with.

You want to know what adds community? A forum that works. In the last while those who opted to leave this community has not done so because they lacked a title under their name.
Fix the four month old jank before slapping cosmetics on that may or may not break again once you fix the main problems.

Ok, how about something along the lines of:
New Collector, Expanding Stash, and Official Horder?
New Poster, Commenter, Full Time Critic?
Just Hacking a Few Things, Staring At The Screen, Lives On The Grid?
Trainee, Bit Twiddler, Lives Among the Bits?
3.5", 5.25", 8"?

I actually quite like the current titles. I've been on forums in the past were I've been a little uncomfortable with the titles. Hopefully, if any changes are made consideration will be given to how people with a range of personalities and backgrounds might feel about them.
 
I would suggest increasing the required post count for “senior member” to 1000+ at least, since, to me, it imbues the person with a certain aura of credibility and community standing that surely isn’t earned at 100 posts.
 
While I could be wrong, I believe this was probably part of a bug fix. Since this stuff is displayed where the location stuff is displayed, I’m assuming this came up while working on that problem.

Understandable, but I suspect it is rather preaching to the choir. I really doubt admins and mods are enjoying this experience much themselves, and would readily have resolved the issues they can.

As for the question - I'd be inclined to leave the user titles the same. It isn't as if a large post count is a necessarily reliable guide to great expertise, or a small post count indicates a lack of knowledge. In my case, one day I'll achieve 'senior' status, yet still be as inept as I was when I first joined.
