Vector Graphic Computer Information

I did, still have a soft spot for the little buggers.

As we all know, you can never have too many sources of PDF documentation files. I have gotten much better at saving a local copy now. More than once I have attempted to return to a website only to find the entire domain has been abandoned. Those monthly band-width usage bills do go on and on and on. I can see why some sites go poof.

What was the deal again??? 16 sector hard sectored floppies for the Vector?? The 10 sector ones were enough work, took me months to get some around here.

The PDFs on www.vector-graphic.info are large and do require some bandwidth.

More Vector Graphic PDFs are available in the Vector Graphic Mailing List archive. The following page has information about the mailing list and archive.

Harte Technologies has a good collection of Vector Graphic PDFs. The Links page has a link to his collection.

Vector Graphic does use hard to find 16-hard-sectored diskettes. Compatible drives are also hard to find.

The Mailing list archive has several discussions about issues regarding the Tandon TM 100-4M double-sided 100 TPI drives used by Vector Graphic.

and also the single-sided Micropolis 1015-IIB drives in older Vector Graphic systems.

Herb Johnson's site has additional information.

Andrew Lynch has done a lot of work in this area that is discussed on the mailing list and on vintage-computers forums.

OMG, they are 100 tpi on top of everything else!!!! Kissing the ground, thanks whoever that I just remembered parts of this before bidding on one awhile back. I almost always forget the bad stuff about the system until it is sitting in front of me, like a brick.

We are getting away from the topic of Link Exchange and into areas that I haven't had enough time to research.

This link will lead you to the Vector Graphic mailing list.

The mailing list contains information on how to interface your brick to 96TPI drives. You will still need 16-hard-sectored diskettes. Vector Graphic made fine machines. If you still have a soft spot for "the little bugger", you should be able to get it running.
