1990 Vendex Headstart III does not recognize A and B drives

I have a Vendex Headstart III that does not recognize the A and B drives on boot up. Can someone help me with the BIOS data I need for these drives?

Have you checked the CMOS battery? If that's low/dead you can get the same problem.

1. Location/routine for replacing/buying CMOS battery
2. When replaced do I still need data for the drives?

I would also like to try inputting the drive data on the set up screen. Where can I get the correct data for cylinder, sector, etc, for my drives?

How do you know the battery is dead?

What are the two drives and which is A and which is B?

Cyllinder data, etc., is for hard drives, not floppies.

Would anyone be interested in reviving my dead Vendex Headststart? It needs a new CMOS battery and data input to recognize drives, etc. I live in Katonah, NY, and would be happy to deliver machine a reasonable distance.
