8> Intel Pentium (Std) 150MHz 512KB 64MB EDO Full-Tower System: "PC80586" - WinNT3.51/WFW3.11 & MS-DOS 6.22
9) Intel 80486-DX/4 100MHz 512KB 32MB EDO Mid-Tower System: "PC80486" - WinNT3.1/Win3.10 & MS-DOS 5.0

14) Intel 8086 8MHz 1MB DRAM Desktop System: "XT8086" - MS-DOS 3.0

The only ones I don't have yet are 11-14. The rest are in various stages if construction. The only ones not listed here are my "general-use" pair of machines, and my non-"PC" ones (c-64, etc).

You can see that for every generation of PC I have, it has a suitable-scale of OSs on it. This is why I had to ask about the FAT32 support, or lack thereof. Because for a stand-alone DOS system, FAT16/32 makes no difference, but if it has a shell, like Windows 3.x, I needed to make sure things were appropriately matched.

I found a little "patch" called 3xStart, but I haven't tried it yet. And from what I've read, it's kinda hit-and-miss. I don't plan to use the stripped-down Win98 DOS, but PC-DOS 7.1 and on down the scale as shown. If Win3x won't do an OS that's FAT32-capable, I'll have to rework the plans.

========================

For those curious, my "General-use" machines are thus:

Intel Pentium-4 2.0GHz S423 256KB 512MB RAMBus-800 Mid-Tower System: "GENERAL" - Win98a/WinXPpro/MEPIS 8
AMD 5x86-P75 133MHz S3 128KB 64MB EDO-DRAM Mid-Tower System: "TINKER" - WFW3.11-DOS6.22/Win95a
