C128 RAM error

So I am attempting to replace RAM at U38 as I am getting a Zero page ram error. My question is do I need to buy 3764 RAM as what is in the C128 or can I use 4164 RAM as I have plenty of it?

Just peeked at the schematic, and the RAM there is listed as 4164. Although perhaps it's a schematic of a different rev board?

Could be, mine has 16 3764A dips and I dont know where the board rev would be. just says W-7794V-0

4164's - 200ns or better if I remember correctly.

3764 is just the oki part number for 4164s.

ok Will give it a try. Its ok to mix both kinds then I take it?

Commodores don't seem to be picky about mixing rams.
