Kaypro II powers on but no picture,

New to this forum and not sure if this is where i should ask for help but I have a Kaypro II that does not show a picture on the CRT. I believe it to be the flyback Transformer not getting power. I originally changed it thinking it was faulty and still no dice, even though the entire monitor board has power.(Tube glows and all). Any direction I could be pointed in would be greatly appreciated!

Hate to ask but perhaps something obvious like the brightness knob turned down ?
Do you have the means to test if a video signal is coming from the main board to the CRT board ?

Sadly it's all the way up. Don't even feel any static on the CRT. Also I do not.

Could the Power switch be a possible cause? Looked at the back and two of the spade connectors were dark.

alot of problems i got on luggable kaypros is bad/broken solder joints on the connector of the powerr supply board. worth checking out.

There were a couple broken solder points on the connector but I have since resoldered them. Wondering if maybe I got a DOA Flyback transformer.

You can loosely couple a "Ringing Tester" to just the Flyback and test it, to see how many rings you are getting. Here is a document on
the method.

What is the Manufacture of the CRT Board? Perhaps Elston (I have a schematic for that specific Board Assembly)
