Has anyone ever used the Disk Alignment Aid program 652-0199? I have a drive that I believe isn’t going back to track 00. The dot on the stepper cam is off to the right from the tang that goes into the groove, instead of being pretty much in line like the procedure says. I set it like the procedure says but after one boot it keeps going back offset and I’m pretty sure it’s not reading track 00 as it should. Hence the drive doesn’t read. When I use APTEST I get good alignment numbers but the fraction right is zero. Am I not doing something correctly in this procedure? I’m able to set the drive speed fine I just don’t believe it’s going back to track 00. Even though I am able to set drive speed could the board possibly be causing this issue? Any thoughts or input would be appreciated.
