Hi, I recently acquired a large collection of old computer stuff and among it was an original Apple iie diagnostic card. I got this all from a computer shop that closed in 1989. I’m only posting this because there seems to be some interest on the card. Any info would be appreciated!

This diagnostics card is quite common. It works with Apple IIe beige models. It verifies basic functionality of the IIe. It is also useful for testing the two ROMs, as well as exercise the CPU by throwing at it many 65C02 based instructions. I usually place the card in slot 1 or 2. I think the UP position of the switch enables the card. So when you turn the IIe on, it boots off the diags card.

The card does somewhat work on a platinum IIe, however at least from my experience the card throws out an error when testing the ROM, probably due to the diags card's firmware being produced before the release of the platinum model.
