This topic had come up before, but previous links I've located through searching the archives either don't work, or prove to be too 'generic'.
I've recently become the proud owner of a Tandy 1100FD, which is not only working, but comes with the original power supply and mouse.
The floppy drive however, is another story. The belt has become sticky and lost its elasticity. It is on the verge of liquification.
I tried a repair with a close match belt (slightly too loose, and square in profile instead of flat), and also an elastic band, but neither give satisfactory results, with a 95% rate of failure to read the disk. At least with the 5% success, I know that the drive itself is good.
Does anybody know of a place I can source (at a reasonable price) a genuine or properly matched replacement drive belt?
