Compaq Portable Plus - need Keyboard ROM-IMAGE

Hi,

I have here a Compaq Portable Plus in nice condition. But the keyboard doesn’t work. There is no signal from the keyboard.
I know that the capacitive key switches making problems after 30 years. But this is not the problem. The Compaq Portable is okay. I checked it with a normal XT-keyboard (with some hacks because of the 12V and the connection to the board).

So I’m searching for a ROM-image from the keyboard. I think that mine has lost his information since he has developed in 1983.

I hope someone can help me.

It wasn't the keyboard ROM but the keyboard controller that was faulty. He fixed his Compaq in the meantime (helped him, so I know).

Thanks for the update Timo. He pm'd me quite a while ago but forum wouldn't allow me to respond. Only just thought recently to reply to this post. Glad to hear it worked out.

And yes, the keyboard and the portable working nice now. Timo helped me to find the defect.
