Hi,

I'm looking for a scan of the Math ROM Module (5061-7226). I checked the hpmuseum and bitsavers sites mentioned in the text module thread but did't see (or couldn't find) anything. Anyone know of a source?

Thanks,

Win

Is that the same thing as the HP 82480A?

I don't think you can download the manuals from the http://www.hpmuseum.org/ site, but you can buy a copy of the manual collection on DVDs ($32 full set) or individual CDs ($10 each).

HP-71B Math Module (HP 82480A) . . . (CD 07)
http://www.hpmuseum.org/software/swcdp.htm

I bought Version 6.00 DVD set a few years ago. It was worth the price to me at the time. I assume that sharing copies of the manuals from media purchased there with other people is not allowed or at least frowned upon, but don't seen any obvious license agreement statements to that effect on their website or on the media.

I agree with you. The HPMuseum manuals set of DVD or CD's are the way to go. A wealth of information on all things HP Calculator and HP held held computers.

You are correct on the copyright. Dave Hicks, the HPmuseum curator, has received written permission from HP to make the manuals available for distribution on the DVD sets, but that permission does NOT imply that anyone else has the right to redistribute the material.

I recommend buying the complete set, but you can just buy the CD that has what you need.

I found a thread that might be of some help to you on understating some of the commands. While not the manual, you may find it useful until you do receive the CD with the manual:

Yes, that is the same module as the 5061-7226. I saw your info and the following msg regarding the DVD/CDs. I just want to browse the Math ROM docs, so I'm not sure I want to dive into all the other HP docs, but it's a possible option. The hpmueseum thread that highlights some of the Math ROM commands may be sufficient.

Thanks...Win
