Many a period writeup as well as the official Osborne product literature refer to the "Universal terminal emulation" of the OCC Executive. Was this a vaporware feature that was never rolled out? (My understanding is that it was supposed to be a feature due to the inclusion of a Z80A-SIO chip in the machine.)

Second, there are a number of OCC-1 and OCC-2 software archives, including bitsavers, the Dunfield site, and others. I have the basic disks, and I can roll disks using cpmtools from the FOG and TOSEC archives, but does anyone out there have other disks / images they're willing to post? Or a more comprehensive list of archive sites?

Here's a third bonus query: The executive's fan is grating and I'm thinking about a replacement. I guess I could wear my NC headphones. What do you do when vintage cooling exceeds your personal noise tolerance?
