Psion 3a fault

I was happily testing a new Pipemania SSD on my Psion Series 3a today, when suddenly the screen went black and the device made a constant clicking noise, like one of the buttons was stuck down.

"No problem", I thought.... I'll do a hard reset, and everything will be fine. No. It's totally borked.

Any ideas?

Double annoying, because the case (inc hinges) is in immaculate condition.

MY TIME HAS COME! Clean the key switches underneath the pads. They're usually gold or black. Also clean the black pads on the bottom of the keys, along with the keycaps. If you don't want to do all of them, do the dirtiest ones. Afterwards, look for leaky capacitors, and if any are found, replace them. After that, check all of the connections are still intact. Then come back and I'll give you some more ideas(hopefully).

These were pretty cool, so I hope it works again!
