Hello All
I finally found a proper sized barrel connector to power up this computer. Now the questions.
When I power it up with the Gavilan MS-Dos disk in, the unit displays '1' the upper upper left and accesses the disk. It continues to count up to 5. Then there is loud double beep and a "010" shows on screen for a couple seconds and the machine shuts down.
I have removed all the cartridge ram units, and I get the same response. If I unplug the power cord, it holds a charge and still show the same response. If I remove the disk I get the same thing.
I can not find a service manual online. There is no visible battery corrosion. Overall the machine looks to have been well cared for.
