Was looking at an Amrel RT586 Military Laptop, I need something that I can take and use in my M-151 military mutt with the radios for running teletype. Have been using a Dell running XP but want something that looks appropriate in the military radio setting. Need to be able to run XP and have a sound card internal to the system.
I know the RT586 will run Win 98 but don’t know if it will run XP or what processor or speed the Amrel is. This system is not going to be running anything else and don’t need it to be able to do internet or anything like a modern system, have plenty of that stuff.
So, anyone know anything about the RT586? And if if its capable of running XP with the default drivers in XP? The company’s web site is useless on something that old.
