In an XT clone PSU I have a couple of these filter caps on the AC side...

They are marked CM.1K / 250VAC / TSE.

The 250VAC is clear and the TSE part is probably the maker, but what about the CM.1K? 1kuF, 1knF? CM is possibly the case type designation.

Thanks.

If that cap sits on active and neutral, then it is probably a line suppression capacitor of {0.1 µF, X class}.
See the 'Line Suppression Capacitor' section of [here].

Thanks, yes I thought it must be the equivalent of a Rifa, but slightly different. I'm in the PSU because it exploded. The cause seems to be a transistor, which has taken out 4 resistors in the vicinity (and hopefully nothing else). I thought I may as well at least have spare line suppression caps in case they die next.
