Hi all,

It looks like I have a dead hard drive controller in my PC-6300, so here is what I am looking for.

An 8 bit MFM controller, or 8 bit IDE controller, or a working Hard card (if those are bootable).

If I am thinking correctly i can use one of the Seagate 8 bit MFM controllers with the ROM to use larger MFM drives.

A copy of Dos 3.1 or 3.3 for the 6300 would be nice as well, as my copies are flaky.
Thanks,

Matt

You can find copies of 6300 disks on the web (it helps to know that the 6300 is also known as the Olivetti M24).

I did some testing with the XTCFV2 on the 6300, so that will work. In my own box, I've got an 80MB hardcard.

Matt,
Which drvie do you have? (5.25" or 3.5"?)
You can find MS-DOS for AT&T 6300 Olivetti OEM on the web.
But if your HDD is over 32MB, I recommend to use DOS 3.30 or higher.
(DOS 3.1x - 3.2x doesn't support over 32MB HDD Partition.)

If your copies disks are flaky, can you send it by Teledisk if the BAD sector is included or not?
(I'll try to fix it.)

I've fixed many of bad or broken disk images.

P.S. I want to know what BIOS version is.
