Hi, does anyone know how to get into the case of the Olivetti M211 laptop please?
I used this many years ago as my accounts computer. It no longer boots, I would guess because the battery is dead, but I can't work out how to open the case. Remove all the visible screws and try pulling but just get the creaking and groaning from overstressed plastic.
What would be good is that it is just the screws holding it together, so if it doesn't come then I have missed one or more. More difficult is if it uses catches or clips that need to be released before the case will open.
Really need to remove all personal data before disposing of it. Have tried two or three times to open it but no luck.
Alternatively, is the battery a rechargeable? So could try leaving it on charge for some hours to see if it comes back to life?
