I can't get keyboard working with a "DTK PIM-TURBO 8MHz TURBO BOARD REV-1" 8088 motherboard. This is what I get:

DTK Corp. Computer XT
DTK/ERSO/BIOS 2.28 (C) 1986
.K-B Error !
RAM TEST .. 640K

Then it fails because there is no boot device. Striking any key to reboot does not work.

I have not been able to locate key lock and I have tested with two different PC keyboards (and with AT keyboard too).

Any tips?

I got the same K-B Error today, and was wondering what was wrong, as the keyboard used to work just fine. Found out it was because I had accidentally switched the computer to locked position with the front key. Once unlocked, the keyboard worked again.

Maybe the post took 3 years to appear with the OP being a new member at the time. :)

I have the same motherboard over here.

On mine it came with an OEM bios, not the DTK /erso on.

Keyboard error goes away when JP8 is jumpered.

With OEM bios board seems to work and react on keyboard input

With DTK erso bios, looks like its stuck on keyboard.
