Hi. I really like my old Sharp PC-4600 "Laptop".
When I bought i recently, It did not have a battery fitted, and I cannot figure out what kind it needs.

I am sure I can do some trickery to make it run off a lithium source, but... you know... I would much rather prefer not installing odd stuff in it.
Anyone got an idea?

This is a sealed lead-acid (gel-cell) battery, and those are still relatively easy to find, though this exact size may be a bit tricky. It may be helpful to have LxWxD measurements for the battery's housing available.

The battery measurements are: 5cm long / 4,5cm wide / 11,8cm tall. But in the place that cables are soldered, the wide is 4,9cm wide. (See above photos)
Sadly the case that the battery fit, is exact the same measurements.

Some photos from the case:

I measured mine today and here is what I got in inches and (cm):
2" (5.08), 1.75" (4.44), 4.75" (12.065)

If you used NiCad (1.2v) cells you can stand five up using a 5/4 C (19mm) cell. If you used Li-Ion (3.6v) you could used two 26mm cells. About the biggest rechargeable cell that I could find in a 26mm diameter was a 26700. You can find bigger ones, but they aren't rechargeable.

No luck finding a complete battery, or cells that would effectively use up the available space.
