Hello everybody , my first post here. I need your help to identify a transistor that is faulty in the power source. I attach a picture of the transistor. On PCB is noted Q1 and on it is writes : 48541 04328 PH8536. Please help me, I was unable to find a schematics for power supply. Thank you, Mike.

Welcome to these forums.

The "8536" is possibly a date code: 36th week in 1985. That would tie in nicely with the release date of the Compaq Portable II.

The other numbers may be 'internal' numbers, known only to Compaq, or whoever made the power supply.

Hopefully, someone here can provide more information.

Hello,
after I bought another Compaq II with same problem I find out what transistor is there. The transistor is a BUW13A. Maybe will help somebody else.I was unable to repair the PSU yet. Is difficult without a schematic and with that small modules inside. Maybe one day...
Thank everyone who willing to help. Best Regards.
