So I bought this 306/4/17 hard drive connected it and to my big surprise, it start and boot to DOS.. I was very lucky, but after few restarts disk started making problems. After that, disk refused to boot, access and anything.
I cant even run LLF. I tried all, connect and format it on XT machine with Xebec controller, also with AT machine with AT controller, also AT machine with XT controller, format with debug, with advanced diagnostic floppy disk, sstore, disk managere, all what i know. Without success. I also tried replace cabels, controllers, machines, nothing...
I know that this hard drive has different WPC number than ST-412, but Xebec controller ignore this numbers. I tried to format it on AT machine (386 PC) with WPC number 214, but without any success.
Its only IMI-5012H HHD what I have, so I cant try to change PCB from other disk.
P.S.: Its interesting, that disk don't show any POST errors, also when I boot from the floppy drive, LED blinks during boot process.
