I got this thing, and it seems to work with my IBM PS/2 286 (with 386sxNOW!).

I already have a 30 mb HDD which weirdly still works, but it's getting full with software.

1. Can I have both the 30MB drive as master boot + 16GB CF card as secondary drive? How do I set this up?

2. Or do I have to disable the 30MB drive, and then setup the CF card as boot disk by using the IBM starter diskette + installing MS-DOS?

3. I haven't messed with the jumper settings at all. Do I need to?

Thanks!

Ok, so I started fumbling with it. It doesn't seem to detect my card. I disconnected my main HDD put a 16GB card (too big?) in the ISA card. When booting to the new BIOS it shows "Master at 300h: not found". So it doesn't seem to find my card.

How do I proceed from here?

I tried with a couple of cards, and got it recognized with a 4GB Sandisk card.

I did install MS-DOS 6.0 from 3 floppies, and that worked fine.

But when I restart with no floppies in drive, and the XTIDE tries to boot to C "Booting C»C" it just hangs.

If I then restart with a DOS diskette in drive, I can manually go from A: to C: and I can see DOS is installed.

What to do?

Just for info XTIDE is showing this:

XTIDE Universal BIOS (XT) = - @ CE00h
b3.0.0ß3+ (2013-04-03)
Released under GNU GPL v2

Master at 300h: SanDisk SDCFG-004G

and then it hangs at "Booting C»C"
