A PC in FPGA, what is available?

I just read the thread about the PCjr CPU upgrade board. Googling for net186 I ran into a site that used an FPGA board to emulate a complete PC. But it was not clear what board he used and what was needed more.

So my question: do some of the readers have experience with running a PC in a FPGA board and would she/he be so kind to share this with us?
