Hi all, new to the forum so go easy on me 
I've recently got back into retro machine collecting and I picked up an Epson PC AX2E. I can't find anything about it online. I'm looking for setup disk and manuals if anyone can help? Or just some info on the machine?
I found an Epson PC AX setup disk on archive.org but it doesn't appear to be fully compatible. I've also tried the gsetup flying around, and that again has issues.
My main problem is that as soon as run either of the those setup programs you screw up the extended ram, and it's no longer detected. You have to reset the cmos by pulling the battery (I've done a battery mod to the RTC) and it'll start detecting the ram again. But of course you loose your settings for stuff like the hd. Try and set the settings again, and boom, the ram will stop detecting.
286's are very unfamiliar territory to me as I'm more a P2 and up person but I'm really keen to see this baby up and running.
Any help would be much appreciated,
