hi!

I've recently repaired some rather bad battery damage on a PC/AT 5170 rev 3 motherboard. I had to take out and clean a address decoder PROM (U117) which feeds the RTC, keyboard controller, etc. It's a 74S288AN or equivalent IC.

I've taken a dump of the PROM contents (https://erikarn.github.io/pcat/notes.html) and I have some hopefully NOS unprogrammed PROMs here, but I don't have a suitable programmer. I can build one if I have to, but I wonder - does anyone here have the relevant hardware around to program these old bipolar bit-at-a-time PROMs? If so, could I enlist/compensate you to write a couple of them for me?

I'd love to have a replacement for my 5170 as this was one of the ICs that was badly damaged by the battery leak, and I'd hate for it to properly fail sometime without having a spare on hand. :(

Thanks!
