i need help please guys.

Just got this little shoebox of a computer :) im having problems.

It starts up and shows it has 65mb hd and 4mb of ram but when going down its checks it hangs at the keyboard check.

i get this message Bad or missing keyboard definition file.

now i can get into setup but that doesnt help and its cmos battery is fine its displaying correct settings and date time.

I cant use a boot floppy as although it checks the floppy drive it hangs on the keyboard.

strangely though the keyboard works in setup.....what do i do ?

if your wondering its a 386 cpu at 20mhz

came with original mouse and keyboard very nice looking it is too.

help me sort her out.

The only advice I can give, is swap keyaboards and see if it boots up ok.

I perhaps had a similar problem with a model M keyboard I found, and attached it to my ps/2 77s running os/2 version 3.

On bootup, I got a keyboard error, yet it seemed like the keyboard was fine. After finally getting into os/2, I noticed that a whole row of keys were not working.

Maybe there is something similar going on?

Chris
