Just missed out on a great Altair!

So, I just missed out on a great Altair 8800B:

My maximum bid of $1500 did not hold up to be the winner. Too bad! And the Seller was only a 60-90 minute drive away, so I could have picked it up personally, too.

FWIW, I thought that the snipers would probably show up at the end to drive the price up to circa $3000, but that did not happen in this case.

Well, for me, my max is my max, so I don't really have regrets.

I did see that the winner had entered another higher bid, so I don't know how high I would have had to go to win.

Well there is always another out there it's an 8800B and did have a dent and would have needed cards so your end cost would have been much higher to get it running and back into perfect shape.
