Plucked 2 of these rather standard looking 64-256kb memory boards out of box of parts a while back and I'm just now getting around to messing with them. that being said, my oldest system is a 386 and naturally cant use one of these boards. Both boards are fully populated, leading me to believe via maths that I have 72 8kb memory chips. made by 5 different brands.

Board #1 has:

18x
intel
8493286 p3
338976 m45
vln3502850

9x
mostek
8403
mk4564n-20

9x
Matsushita Panasonic
mn4164p
49 6-15.

Board #2:

27x
OKI
m3764-20rs
4x246

9x
nec
83**mf727
d4164c-2

** most are 39, but a coupe are 38, and one is 40. dont ask me why.

Anyway, everything else in the box has been good and working, so I would imagine the great majority of these chips should work. Any input is welcome.

The 4 parity chips is correct but not the rest.

8 x (64k x 1-bit) chips = 64k x 8-bits. 4 banks of 64k x 8-bits = 256k x 8-bits.

Well! now that we have everything all nice and straightened out, they are still for sale! just searching ebay for "16 dip memory" gives me prices from $2 a chip and up. but that is NOS, if the seller can be believed. Would .50 a chip for what I have be out of line considering the untested nature?
