For sale:
Clean and fully working PDP-11/23:
BA11-N chassis, with a H9273 backplane (18 bit, 4 columns x 9 rows).
Row 1 = M8186
Row 2 = M8059 KP 128K RAM memory
Row 3 = M7940 (console)
Row 4 = M7940 (address 17650x)
Row 5 = Emulex UC07 (SCSI Interface)
Row 6 = empty
Row 7 = empty
Row 8 = empty
Row 9 = M8012 YA
I am running RT-11SJ at present from a reformatted Macintosh SCSI hard disk, and also an SCSI Zip Drive.
I have to manually type in a short boot program in ODT for my Emulex SCSI interface, and then the system is able to boot into RT-11.
I paid $400.00 (plus shipping) for the original working PDP-11/23.
I added the second M7940 ($50.00), Emulex UC07 ($250.00) and swapped in the M8059 KP ($100.00) for two M8044 DB boards.
Here are some extra boards that are included in this offer:
M8044 DB (quantity = 2) 64K RAM board - working, originally came with this computer.
M8043 four port serial I/O board (DLV11-J) - believed to be working, but I cannot get it to work properly in my system (CPU jumper settings?).
M8028 serial I/O port (DLV11-F) - I'm not certain if this one is working or not.
M8013 RL01 disk controller, 1 of 2 - believed to be working, but not tested in my system.
M8014 RL01 bus controller, 2 of 2 - believed to be working, but not tested in my system.
I am asking for $500 for the entire lot.
If you are interested, please send me a message and we can discuss it. I can send you some pictures.
I would sincerely prefer local pickup. The system is extremely heavy. Packing it properly and shipping will run into the 100s of dollars. I can drive some distance to meet in the middle, if that will help make the sale.
Thanks for looking,
smp
PS: If you are interested to come and pick up this system, I also have an RX01 dual 8" floppy disk, believed to be working, but I have not put in the time to get it to go.
It was originally sold to me as an RX02 but it turned out to be an RX01.
I acquired the proper floppy disk interface card, and then properly formatted 8" floppy disks, but never made it any further than that.
Along the way, I fished out some plastic bits that turn out to be the pressure pads for grabbing onto the floppy disk when the drive door is closed, so one of the drives will need some repair.
