All four of these were pulled from fully functional systems years ago. They've been in storage ever since. I have no way to test them so they are being sold as is.

Epson SMD-300
Panasonic JU-257-434P
TEAC FD-235HF
Mitsumi D359T3

$39.99 shipped anywhere in the US. Thank you

These drives die from just sitting around.

You would have much better success if you just test them which is quite simple and can be done with almost any machine that has a floppy controller.

well, I'm not sure if they die from just sitting around, but they definitely need to be recovered from the environmental variables. most common for me is the grease hardening up and causing parts of the drive to stick, or even things as simple as the head getting bent up (best to leave a sacrificial disk in drives when in storage otherwise it's always forced up).

in any case, 3.5 drives aren't something id be interested in but $40 is high for them. They are still pretty easy to come by vs something like a 360k 5 1/4. Better off just listing on eBay and see what the market will offer, you won't get premium prices here.

That's $15 for four drives which is certainly fair if they're not dead.

But since they're so easy to check why not just do it?

I would love to get just one for my 520 STe whose drive is dead but I don't want to take a risk with untested hardware. :(
