Large server case with some issues for price of shipping

Liquidating my collection and I have five of these server cases. 3 AT style and 2 ATX style. 4 are beige and one is black.

Anyway, this particular AT server case I was going to recycle, but maybe one of you lovely folks would like it for the price of shipping??? I use Parcelmonkey.com which is pretty cheap for domestic U.S. shipping. This server case would be about $40 shipped from Vermont to Florida as an example. This will be shipping from zip code 05401.

Issues:

1.) Cosmetic scrapes and scratches (look at the photos) and one small dent on the side. All plastics are fully intact and undamaged.
2.) AT power supply is dead. I can either remove it to lighten the weight or you can leave it and use the PSU chassis and rebuild it. Just let me know.
3.) The plastic drive bay covers mostly stay in place, but towards the middle they are loose fitting, but stay if not disturbed.
4.) The case has 6 HDD LED activity lights plus a 3 digit MHz readout. Instructions of how to set that are on the castor wheel box lid.
5.) This includes two sets of castor wheels, but I have no screws/nuts for them so a trip to the hardware store will be in order. The case has holes at the bottom for the castor wheels.

If you want to see what the case looks like with its LED readout lit up I have the black one on Ebay here:

PM me if interested in taking this orphan otherwise it's off to the scrap yard in a few weeks. Cheers.

The case rides on wheels made of plants? :)

Yes, that is correct. Hehe. Caster wheels. It's been a rough week for me so go easy on me. Also, realized I made the mistake in my Ebay listing. Oh well. World keeps on spinning.

Fascinating. I've got one of the ATX type; I hadn't realised there was a separate AT version. Does anyone know the manufacturer's name?

That case has slot covers on both sides of the AT keyboard connector so it must have been designed for a monster motherboard.

I obtained about seven or eight of these cases/systems. Two went to Luckybob so I can't remember what his are like, but the five I am cleaning up all seem to be the exact same base model and from that point there are slight variances in each one. The rear card slot metal frame is removable making it easy to switch between AT and ATX (if you have that part). Some have drive bay mounts with rivets at the bottom like this one I'm cleaning up.

Some have slightly different PSU mounting plates and variances in the metal cutouts on the back.

All made in Taiwan, but, as you stated, no manufacturer name directly on the case. They all seem to have Enermax PSUs in them so like Antec, Thermaltake, etc. these may very well be Enermax designed cases who, BTW, still have system cases in their product line. I love their looks, but too big for my lifestyle.

You can stick a ton of FH 5.25" SCSI drives in them.

Any idea what year they are from (judging by the motherboards you found installed in them)?

Well these came from the Pentium Pro haul I purchased back in October 2018. All of these cases were populated with either Socket 5 or Socket 8 motherboards if that gives you an idea. So mid to late 90s.

I was thinking of installing a dual Pentium 1 board in it, or a 486 server board (16 RAM slots, large footprint).

Both of my dual PPro machines were late model ATX so standard cases.

This case is designed with this motherboard in mind: Supermicro P6DLH

mine had dual p-pro versions of the motherboard above, but I dont have the model number handy.

Rare cases for rare boards.

That explains the slots on either side of the AT keyboard plug.

BTW, now that you have yours, I am going by the locksmith this week to see if they can duplicate the small key for the swing out door. Luckily it is not a barrel key. If they can, I will drop one in the mail for you.
