  • From now on we will require that a prefix is set for any items in the sales area. We have created regions and locations for this. We also require that you select a delivery option before posting your listing. This will hopefully help us streamline the things that get listed for sales here and help local people better advertise their items, especially for local only sales. New sales rules are also coming, so stay tuned.

One of a kind collectable lunchbox computer, 1987 IBM Compaq portable 2 model 2650 serial #1 with operating systems IBM DOS, 2.5, 3.1, 3.3, 4.1, 5.0, pacman. The most advanced laptop ever built at the time featuring dual processors. This is an rare, vintage model a collector would do anything to add to thier collection. Respond with offers to <email removed>, thanks andy

One of a kind? Laptop? It’s neither! The Portable II was a mass-produced computer, and is a luggable, not a laptop. There IS a difference.

That being said, they are very cool and I love mine, but let’s keep things real here...

Realistically, it’s a $50 to $150 machine depending on condition. I think I gave $70 or $80 for the one I got last year.

Seems since last year all these new user accounts come on here to try and sell us something (which is the extent of their account usage). Somebody must have put the word out that we are suckers. If they read a few posts they would see we are cheapskates.. Very Annoying with the eBay like wording. I agree close the post.
