Strange, thought I had posted this for sale thread before.

I have far too much stuff that I will get around to fixing and using, one day. Here is my collection of 9845 items.

For information have a look at hp9845.net, and the HP museum. Basically a large and powerful desktop computer from the late 1970s.

A 9845A with mono monitor and 98412A, 98413C, 65518, 65517, 98034A and 3 of 98032A

A 9845A no monitor and 98417A, 98412A, 98413A, 98415A, 98414A, 65501 and 9412A

ROMS included are 65521, 65528, 65518, 98413A, 65501, 65527, 65526, 65519

Most of the PCBS from a 9845A with the bit slice processor, this computer had been broken across the keyboard and wasn't worth keeping in one piece.

2673A printer

9872A plotter

2235B ruggedwriter

2225AU Thinkjet

9895A dual 8" floppy

59401A GPIB bus analyser

Various odds and ends like data cartrdges, cables etc.

I have slowly collected this over a couple of decades. None of it has ever been powered up. Not seen any for years, get the odd printer or plotter come up but I think the 9845 has mostly been binned.

This is a pallet full of equipment, and with a similar weight. Will need a large car to collect, pallet delivery will be about £60 in the UK, £100 into Europe, but will need to get an accurate costing there.

Price £600 GBP plus delivery.

No interest?

This is now pretty reare stuff, will go for gold recycling otherwise.

"thousands of dollars", if you believe the scum picking goldbugs. ;)

I kind of hope someone gets this lot. HP stuff is always rather nice.

How much gold? These boards are like all HP ones of that era with a gold flash. Look good but more gold on decent edge connector fingers. Even so, looking at about 5GBP per kg, probably 70kg PCBs all told, things like the floppy drives will be useful elsewhere.

Before going to recycling please check whether you find some collector willing to take over (not much of gold in there anyway). However I fear this forum is not the right place (sorry to say that) but you will rather find 9845 collectors via eBay (even more sorry to say that). There is a good chance to find someone for the whole pallet. I would be personally interested in smaller parts (easier and less costly to ship). Just in case simply contact me via ansgar(at)hp9845.net.

Thanks

Ansgar, I sent you the 'unusual' items some years ago. There is nothing here that you don't already have.

I have to agree, it would be a good system to get running and that all the documentation is available, thanks Tony, is amazing. But, it is heavy, large and fragile so shipping it anywhere will cost a fortune. It is all too large to go in easily available carboard boxes, and th epacked weight of 40kg is beyond the cheaper carriers.

Bit of a bind really, nothing on ebay at the moment, but I really dislike ebay now and try to avoid it.

Nice to meet you again that way :) And I more than understand your point on eBay.
