Burning to a 2364 compatible EPROM

I need a 2364 ROM burning for my IBM 5150. I can supply the file but I don't have a ROM or compatible burner.

I'm aware a few different roms may be compatible, including MCM68764, 27HC641 (if programmed in a certain way), I am also aware of modern replacements such as ROM-EL, but I don't think that would look period accurate in my PC.

Does anyone have the right ROM and ability to burn it?

I'm in UK but would be willing to purchase from overseas as it should not weigh much.
 
I wasn't aware of the 27HC641 part as a 24-pin 8KB part. At 45ns those are reasonably quick for an EPROM. My programmer supports programming those. I'll have to watch for a good deal on those in the future. The best I see right now from a quick look is around $11 each. I have used MCM68764 parts in the past. Those usually aren't cheap to find either.

Hope you can find someone else with parts on hand that could program and send one to you cheaper than it would cost me to acquire some parts to program and then send one to you.

The ROM-el being sold as-is is really an afterthought, based on some feedback after some folks received
their JiffyDOS ROMs. I mainly created it for JD sales.

But, that's not an excuse, just a statement. I need to put some docs up.

If you get the 2364 ROM-el, you will need:

an adapter to rewire the 2364 pinout back to the DIP version of the AT49F001 (the flash IC on the unit).
I typically recommend people use the 2364Adapter PCB I sell in the store, and wire it in reverse (put a
header where the 2764 socket goes, and a socket where the 2364 headers pin go. The PCB needs the pin 28
trace on the 2764 side (normally Vcc) cut, and extended to pin 32 of the header (Vcc for the AT49F001).
The, flying leads are attached for signal lines A13,A14,15,16,WE.

A programmer that can program Atmel AT49F001 FLASH ROMs.

To program, plug the adapter into the programmer, plug the ROM-el into the adapter, and attach all of
the flying leads to the ROM-el.

To use the various banks, simply ground the Address lines on the top of the ROM-el. Remember that with no
lines connected, all extra address lines float high, so the default bank in bank 15. Gounding the lowest
address line will choose bank 15 or 16. Next higher address lines handles 12/13 versus 14/15.
Next is 8/9/10/11 versus 12/13/14/15 and highest line will select from 0-7 versus 8-15

There are also a couple of 24-pin devices not mentioned:

Cypress Cy7c261
NXP/Sony/Philips WS57C49C

I haven't checked them out in detail, but they might be candidates.
