three columns of
text for everything
on my mobile
after the upgrade,
just like this.
And the amount
of vertical and
horizontal scrolling to
see the page
has increased dramatically.

I don't have
a brand new
phone, and I
find it somewhat
ironic that a
forum about vintage
computers now seems
to require the
latest browser to
be able to
use it properly.

"Change is good"
says the header
but I had a
sense of dread
that the upgrade
would be a
retrograde step for
some users such
as myself, I've
seen this before.

I am typing
this on my
laptop as I
can't log in
now on my
phone, trying both
browsers I have
on there but
it just times
out on both.

Even on a
wide screen and
latest browser it
is now a
column about 2/3
screen width.

Is there anything
I can change
in the settings
to remedy this?

Thanks!

I can't contribute any feedback to mobile, but the desktop version of the site is just as shit. "please don't be alarmed, change is good" my fucking ass. The new site design is utter trash.

Almost 50% of the page is wasted white space, no matter how big or small my screen is, meaning there's some fucked up HTML or CSS artificially crunching down the whole website vertically. All of the old threads formatted to full screen are screwed up and cut off, requiring selecting the text and forcibly scrolling it over.

The same reason for the massive white space is probably why mobile is even worse. I bet whatever is setting the page width is using a percentage instead of an absolute value, which would explain why mobile is pencil thin because it's going on window size.
