I have this weird issues that I never noticed until I tested my Toshiba 4X cd-rom drive in my older computer. In the current one (pentium 166Mhz MMX, Win95) it plays just fine, no issue, but as soon as I tested it in my 486 computer, first it crashed a dos game I was trying but then I realized that the crash comes when it uses cd-audio tracks. I even tested it in Win3.1 cd audio player and yes, as soon as I press any tracks on, it absolutely halts the entire computer. The song starts and nothing else is working. Mouse is moving but can't press anything and computer is totally frozen until it finishes the audio track.
What on earth can cause this? Totally bizarre issue. In Win95 computer it doesn't do the same at all and it's been all fine for long time.
I have two 4X cd-rom drives (Toshiba and Mitsumi) and the other one works fine in both computers.
