Hello everyone. Some may recall the Quantel Paintbox disk drive I found at a hamfest a couple of years back. The pandemic put the kibosh on said show for a couple of years, but it was able to be held last month, and this time around someone who knows I'm into this stuff brought a pair of 8" floppy drives to the hamfest for me. Apparently, he used them to transfer some data from a box of disks (included with said drives, though only one disk is labeled as to its contents) to a more modern PC, though exactly how he accomplished this is unknown. Each drive is within a separate cabinet, though the two are joined together by way of short umbilical and power cables. The drive enclosures are completely unlabeled, best I can tell, though I haven't opened the cases to check to see if any identifying marks lay within. Here are some photos:
Any idea what I might be dealing with here, who might've made them, or what they could've originally been meant for? Thanks in advance!
