I'm doing some janitorial work and found an out of the way place in a building's boiler room where I could setup a small desk and a 486. Nothing fancy, just a fairly standard machine without sound or a mouse and loaded down with a few programming suites. This gives me the ability to work away undisturbed for hours but on occasion I want access to the machine remotely.
I have a USR modem picked out and ran a line from the building's PBX so I can now dial into the machine from elsewhere in the building. The issue however is that I'm having trouble choosing an all-around okay utility for MS-DOS. My initial choice was Host mode in Procomm which is nice because I don't need a client on another machine to connect or even another PC for that matter but that doesn't allow for Hercules/CGA emulation that I can tell. Carbon Copy Plus also seems nice (and does apparently support emulation of graphics modes) but the disks are copy protected and it seems both my copies were already used.
