I picked up a PS/2 8525 that has a no slot clock in it but I stupidly formatted the hard drive and no longer have the XTCLOCK.COM, does anyone have this?

Have you tried the SMWCLOCK.COM utility included with Tandy's OEM zero-slot module? (available here) There's a fair chance it'll do the job.

Smwclock is handy because there is y2k fixed version, but yeah, it's Just Another DS1216 Driver and most should be interchangeable. (The source code reeks of being a straight adaptation of demo code from Dallas.)

I did find something that works but it appears that the no slot clock I have, the battery is starting to die; as observed that the system loses time pretty quickly when powered off. Does anyone sell retrofitted versions of these things with modern power options; i.e. coin cell or AAA?

ReactiveMicro has this for the Apple II series but I wonder would it be pin compatible with the PC/XT?
