WANTED: Diagnostic/Setup Disks for Compaq Deskpro 386/s (battery went dead)

Hi,

My Compaq Deskpro 386/s no longer recognizes the hard drive because the battery went dead. I need the original setup disks, (Diagnostic Disks) so that I can set the option to boot this computer from the hard disk.
Any idea as to where I can obtain such software? I already checked the Compaq web site, and it is no longer available for download.

Thanks for the quick reply, I got it to work, by downloading the file from the link provided. I had a hard time finding a 720K disk but other than needing a battery I am good.

I will look for a battery, and post here again if I am unable to locate one.

If it's anything like the other Compaqs from that time then it's most likely just a normal 3.6V lithium AA inside a plastic holder.

Sorry the necro-posting, but just wanted to save the time of other souls that stumble upon this thread. The link in this thread to Driver Guide doesn't work anymore (shocker right?)
